0x000000ED Error in Windows XP — How to Fix?

windows, xp, chkdsk, error, bsod, code, 0x000000ED

When you turn on the computer everything is good , being tested BIOS, loading Windows, but then a blue screen of death (BSOD — Blue Screen Of Death) which contains the error text 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
This error refers to a corrupted file system . The solution to this problem is to restore the file system standard Windows – Utility — chkdsk

For this you will need :

1. Installation disk Windows XP, boot from it.
2 . Appeared on one of the windows, you will be prompted to press R to repair , click it.
3 . After logging into the recovery console , you need to choose the operating system and enter the password if it was not, just press Enter
4 . Now you can enter the command : chkdsk / r

Personally, I have recently got nothing to correct this error, since the hard disk contained a BAD- sector. Now it can be thrown away or hang it on the wall .
