WooCommerce is basically the only place where you can sell your digital products for free. Well, basically… There are still a few costs that arise.
WooCommerce is a plugin for WordPress. That means you need to have a WordPress site. You can make an artist website with WordPress in 5 easy steps. WordPress itself is completely free; all you need is hosting, which you can get for as little as $2.50 a month, e.g. from Bluehost (also endorsed by WordPress itself), A2 Hosting, and ScalaHosting.
I am also using WooCommerce for my art store and I absolutely love it. It was easy to set up and the shop pages look super-beautiful. (In fact, the best selling digital downloads in my shop are currently my glass ball jars.)
By the way, I’ve built this artist website using the OceanWP theme and Elementor page builder, along with Essential Addons for Elementor and Ultimate Addons for Elementor.

WooCommerce will give you lots of functionality for free, including coupons and discounts, upsells and cross-sells, shipping zones, tax rate calculation, off-canvas search bar, different filter options, and much much more.
You can find more features on the WooCommerce Marketplace, such as shipping providers, newsletter opt-ins, wishlists, live chats, Trustpilot reviews, printing providers like Printful that will handle physical print sales for you.
In addition to that, you can integrate payment gateways like Stripe and Paypal using Woo Payments.
