By skyforbes I want to put together a little collection of animated films for a friend of mine. The goal is to focus on films that look beautiful or are expertly animated, not JUST written well. While the collection includes some 3D animated films like Into the Spider-Verse, I want to focus more on 2D films with breathtaking artstyles, detail, and animation quality.
I'm also looking for films where there is a good quality blu ray version. I know some transfers of older films have things like film grain scrubbed out and general loss of detail, and while I'm open to those films if there is a good DVD version available without those issues, I prefer blu-ray.
What recommendations do you guys have?
