Stop treating AI like a search engine. Start treating it like the friend who won’t let you bail on yourself.
I’ll be real.
I was using AI wrong for accountability.
Then one random Tuesday morning, something hit me:
What if I stopped asking it for answers and started asking it to keep me honest?
That thought changed how I use it completely.
Because let’s face it we all know we need accountability. We just don’t like asking for it.
So I tried five different prompts. And I swear, these flipped a switch in my brain.
Prompt 1:
“Create a weekly check-in system for me.”
Sounds boring, right?
That’s what I thought too.
But when I told ChatGPT to design a weekly accountability system for my portfolio project, it didn’t just say “check in every Friday.”
It asked me,
“What time are you actually most likely to follow through?”
That hit. Because it knew what I didn’t want to admit — the system doesn’t matter if I never show up.
