Let start in sweden
As you’ve probably noticed by now, we just had a long trip through Sweden to capture some of the architectural style of the Nordics.
We found this home squeezed in between lots of homes downtown of Bullerby, in Sweden.
We love how it’s designed and tailored to the area in order to fit into the very small piece of land between these two steets.
Like so many Swedish wooden homes, it has an almost tower-like structure attached to the the sie.

This is another home from the same small town.
Notice how this home also has a little tower-like structure on the side. I’m still trying to figure out why this is so common among Swedes!
We love how colorful this home is and how it’s starting to melt into the green surroundings (with ivy and trees).
Norwegian minimalism
This home in Telemark, Norway is also classic Nordic style.
Notice the wooden covering on the home and how it’s built almost like boxes stacked together in an almost random pattern. Typical for Scandinavian architects.

Small wooden home in Sweden
This is also a home from a small village we drove past in Sweden.
So cozy!
We love how the mansart roofing and the little back porch cover adds so much personality and style to this home.
Danish pink modern cottage
This little tiny pink home is also super cozy.
We came across it outside Aarhus, Denmark. It’s built as a summer residence for city folks, but can be used all-year round due to a good layer of insulation.
Very sweet!
Cube-like box
This is another typical Scandinavian design.
Notice how few lines there are and how simple and minimalistic the layout is.
We love how the wooden construction really comes to live at night with the lighting mounted around the home.

Enchanting Scandinavian Cabin
This rendering shows a VERY small modern home in Scandinavia.
The styles also fits that Ikea-ish kitchen finish and the large windows are great for the long dark nights in the north.
