You cannot use Zebra labels in a Dymo label printer.
Are Zebra labels the same as dymo labels?
How Does The Printer Know To Read The Labels?
Because the zebra label printer will read the 1/8″ gap between the labels. This is how most direct thermal printers work, with the exception of Dymo.
What Is The Proprietary Dymo ‘Eye Mark’?
Dymo labels need a proprietary hole marking on the liner between each label, as well as the gap. See the picture above for an example.
Dymo label printers will check for two things. It will check for a 1/8″ gap, and also a proprietary dymo hole in the liner. If the laser does not see this hole (eye mark) it wont print. This is why Zebra labels will not work in a dymo label printer. Because Zebra labels do not have this proprietary eye mark on the liner.
You cannot use Zebra labels in a dymo. This is because the Dymo printers check for a special diecut hole on each label. If the hole is not there the dymo printer will not print labels.
The dymo label printer uses a laser sensor to check for the dymo hole on each label. If there is no hole on the label then the dymo label printer will not print labels.
Zebra label printers do not have this special marking on each label.
