Treating Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain disorder that causes widespread pain and tenderness. It can be triggered by injury, stress, or a family history of the condition.

Over-the-counter (OTC) medications can temporarily relieve pain and discomfort. However, research indicates that essential oils can also serve as a natural home remedy for stress, fatigue, and pain associated with fibromyalgia.

These essential oils must be diluted with a carrier oil when applied to the skin. Essential oils should not be swallowed.

1. Lavender Oil

Lavender is well known for its stress-relieving and calming properties. Studies suggest that lavender is also an effective pain reliever and anti-inflammatory agent.
