proof of income, ‘submit your documents’ (IL)

i'm very new to this, please bear with me. turning 26 this month and losing parents insurance but got approved for medicaid in may/june. not employed and i'm unable to work but not officially labeled as disabled yet.

medicaid says you must report any changes in monthly income. i don't have a monthly income, but i occasionally try to do things online for a bit of money (online surveys, games, offers, etc) but the hours/earnings vary. last month i made more than $0, so i wanted to report the change even though it's nothing substantial enough to affect benefits (i'm just terrified to do something wrong and mess any of it up). i couldn't figure out if it counted as self employment or another form of income but i just labeled it as self employment and proceeded. they then say "you may need to submit some additional information" and list potential documents. i don't have any of the proof that they mention and i don't know how to proceed. will they contact me if i'm required to upload documents (that i don't have)? is it irrelevant and you only upload them if you have them? do i need to call and explain the situation? i'm so confused and don't know what i'm doing and really don't want to do it wrong. this is all so stressful! any tips, advice, suggestions, etc would be greatly appreciated. thank you
