2) Before discussing the US information, we need to review the principles and position China articulated regarding the TikTok transaction during the US-China talks in Madrid, Spain, on September 14 and 15, 2025:
China opposes the politicization, instrumentalization, or weaponization of science and technology and economic and trade issues and will never seek any agreement at the expense of its principles, corporate interests, or international fairness and justice.
The Chinese government fully respects the wishes of businesses and supports them in conducting equal commercial negotiations based on market principles.
The Chinese government will review and approve matters related to TikTok’s technology exports and intellectual property rights authorizations in accordance with the law.
