Movie Review: Fantastic Four: First Steps

Fantastic Four: First Steps is a great family-friendly movie with action, science-fiction elements, and heart.

It is your typical super-hero movie that focuses on the “Super-Heroes vs. Evil Alien Overlord” trope that many audience members have seen before in movie theaters… but it has a slightly different flavor.

Fantastic Four: First Steps begins in another Universe other than the one audience members may be used to seeing when he or she watches a MCU super-hero movie.

The Fantastic Four live in a Universe known as Earth 828.

In this Universe, the Fantastic Four are alive around the 1960’s era. However, in this 1960’s world technology is much more advanced than how many people think when they look back at the 1960’s (with an iconic Americana style and twist to it).

There are only four super-heroes in this world: The Fantastic Four. There is Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards), Invisible Woman (Susan Storm), The Human Torch (Johnny Storm), and The Thing (Ben Grimm.) These four individuals come across the group’s powers during a freak accident in space.

As these things typically go, after the Four’s change The Fantastic Four become the defenders and the super-heroes of Earth.
