Cult, Joke, or Hype?

There have been enough cults started on TikTok that it’s become a habit of mine to track them.

Today I want to talk about the Children of the Waning Star or, as I refer to them as, the Five-Day TikTok Cult. Is it possible to form a cult in five days? Was this a joke gone wrong? Were people exaggerating the influence of the would-be leader. We’ll discuss.

First we’ll do a quick summary of the five days.

The founder goes by Gigi Jarvis ([@]notgigijarvis on TikTok as of the writing of this post).

Day 1: July 10
