Bad Things has that DIY spirit that I like behind horror movies, and how wonderful it is to see Molly Ringwald NOT being sexually intimidated and/or assaulted like she is in the movies that made her a name, as well as queer characters who aren’t used as the source of the horror, but this movie seems to run out of gas and can’t quite commit to itself in the end, leaving an unproductive ambiguity that doesn’t leave a whole lot in the memory to chew back over later like a cud.
