ChatGPT to Launch ‘Adult Version’ with Relaxed Content Restrictions

Recently, users across the internet have been voicing frustrations about ChatGPT being overly mechanical and conservative, with responses that are cautious, rigid, and lacking personality. However, change is on the horizon — ChatGPT is about to relax its content restrictions.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman just announced that ChatGPT will roll out a new version in the coming weeks, allowing for more natural and human-like conversations. By December, the platform will open up even further, with age-verified adult users gaining access to expanded features, including adult content.

Altman acknowledged that previous restrictions, implemented to prevent mental health risks, were too stringent and negatively impacted the experience for most regular users. With technological improvements, they can now ease these limitations while maintaining safety standards.

The new version will let users customize ChatGPT’s response style, including options to use extensive emojis or engage in more friend-like conversations. However, these features will require manual activation — they won’t be enabled by default.
