The Rise of AI Agents
It feels like every week there’s a new tool promising to change the way we work with AI.
This time, it’s Google’s turn. Gemini has just released a brand-new Agent Builder a feature that lets you design, automate, and deploy your own AI agents directly inside the Gemini ecosystem.
I decided to try it out myself, explore what it offers, and see how it stacks up against ChatGPT’s Agent Builder.
Accessing the Gemini Agent Builder
The first thing you need to know is that this feature isn’t available to everyone yet.
You’ll have to visit business.google.com, and to use the Agent Builder, you’ll need to be on either Gemini Business or Gemini Enterprise.
Gemini Business costs $21 per seat, while Gemini Enterprise runs at $30 per seat.
It’s a small difference, but depending on how many people are on your team, it can add up quickly.
Once you’re in, you’ll notice that there are three available models — Auto, Gemini 2.5 Flash, and Gemini 2.5 Pro.
The choices are limited for now, but they’re functional enough for most automation setups.
