When I was scrolling through books online, I found this book, I don’t know whether it was an accident or a game of destiny. The title captivated me and the book cover was fascinating. It was curious, gentle and comforting. Without thinking much, I clicked buy.

This book contains five stories , each following a person going through some struggle:

  • A sales assistant who is not happy with her job
  • A accountant who wants to own a shop but scared of leaving the safety of 9–5job
  • A magazine editor adjusting to life as a new mom
  • A person who is neither studying nor working
  • A person who just got retired

Somehow, each of them walks into the library, looking for the book they want. But with so many options, confused about what to read, they ask the librarian. The librarian asks them to go to the reference section. Then they meet a mysterious librarian who recommends a book with an unexpected addition of an extra book. Somehow, that extra book recommended by her, unlocks something deep within them.

This is not a book you read quickly. It doesn’t demand binge reading. Instead, it asks you to slow down to take in each page and pause. No plot twists , just a slice of life.

This book reminds us that everyone carries an invisible story inside them , and sometimes, the right words at right moment is all we need.

If you are looking for something comforting and full of hope. This book might be for you.

This book came to me at the right moment, and I am happy that I let it in.

Spoiler Alert

I will leave you with my favorite lines.

“In a world where you don’t know what will happen next, I just do what I can right now”.

“ If you wait for the right time to make connections, it might never happen, but if you show your face around, talk to people and see enough to give you confidence that things could work out, then “one day” might turn into “tomorrow”.”
