🧠 I Built My Own ChatGPT to Talk With My Jira — Because I Was Tired of Being a Robot

A simple idea, a free API, and a lot of curiosity — that’s all it took.

Every morning felt the same.
Open laptop. Log into Jira.
Scroll through a list of tickets that somehow looked longer than yesterday.

Half of my energy would go just in figuring out what I had to do today, and by the time I got a clear picture, it was already coffee break.

I wasn’t lazy. I was just… done doing the same repetitive things every single day.
Reading ticket descriptions, checking statuses, writing test cases manually — it felt endless.

One evening, while sipping chai after work, I caught myself thinking —

“I literally talk to ChatGPT all day… why can’t I talk to my Jira like that?”

And that one random thought changed everything.

💡 The “Why Not?” Moment

It wasn’t a big plan. I didn’t sit down to “build an AI project.”
I just wanted something that could save me from the mental gymnastics of clicking through ten Jira tabs.
