An open letter to TikTok:

Your support interface and your support sucks. Even by 21st-century standards, you set a new low in online support. Not just a stupid bot as your front line support, not just hiding your support system three layers deep inside your app, not just obfuscating things. You did all of this before. However, you have now made it, so entering an actual support ticket or reaching a real human is impossible. You have reached a new low where you make the likes of Google, AT&T, Microsoft, Banking apps, and local electric utilities look like they are doing online support right.

Just to be clear, because I don’t believe you have two brain cells to rub together, that was an insult. None of the other companies listed does a good job of online support; it is just that you are doing worse. Hiding your support system to the point where when I find the “how do I get support” page, it tells me what I have to do TO FUCKING SEE THE PAGE I AM ON. When I enter “How do I enter a support ticket?” it tells me about promotions you are running to sell me concert tickets. When I click on the “get support,” it is a bunch of pages that tell me how to do things like create an account, major hint — I had to have an account to even get to this point.

Your support is so bad now that it makes your support system from 2023 and 2024 look nearly usable. Your support is so bad that I wonder what else about your platform is as poorly written and buggy. I wonder if I should stop using this platform before it starts doing completely random things.

So, go fuck yourselves. You are now on strike two of three. One more stupid, bone-headed move, and I will be leaving your app and getting some of my time back.
