HOW TO USE ChatGPT TO EXTRACT EVERYTHING FROM A BOOK.

ChatGPT can help you filter out the noise and quickly extract the most important insights.

I’ve read dozens of books I can barely remember.
The ideas fade, the highlights sit somewhere in a Notion doc, and that’s it.

So I started using ChatGPT differently, not to summarize books, but to think with me about them.
Here’s the simple system that actually makes the ideas stick (and apply).

1. Pull real lessons, not summaries
Most “AI book summaries” are just Wikipedia with lipstick.
What you want are lessons you can use.

Prompt:

“List 3–5 lessons from [book title] that I can actually apply in business or daily life. Explain how to put each one into action.”

You’ll get something you can do, not just memorize.

2. Test the author’s ideas in real life
Every book sounds brilliant until it meets reality.
Let ChatGPT stress-test it for you.

Prompt:

“Take the main idea from [book title] and apply it to a real-world business example, one success, one failure. What does it reveal?”
