Usually I don’t pick up beauty products on release days, just so I can feel them out and see how the product settles over time after it is bought. However, The 7 Virtues dropped a new perfume that made me buy it instantly.
Named Buttercream Haze for its notes of vanilla buttercream icing, maple caramel creme and tonka bean, it truly sounds like fall in cupcake form. Not only does it sound delicious, but the brand promises that the fragrance lasts up to 24 hours. I have been wearing it for 8 hours so far, and the smell is still lingering! However, I decided to put it to the real test and wear it while I am moving out of my apartment into my new house (see below for the wear test). That way I can really test the longevity and staying power that this perfume claims to have.
My first initial thoughts while spraying this perfume in the store was OH. MY. GOD. It really is that yummy of a perfume! Once I sprayed it, I immediately got the notes of maple and caramel. As the perfume settled, it swirled into a delicious buttercream cake that lasted all day. I saw reviews on TikTok mentioning they smelled pancakes, and I did get that the first few minutes. Everyone’s skin pH is different…
