Job description: Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Protocol Lead – Blockchain – this is a remote role for US based candidatesWe’re building a platform setting the standard for how regulated blockchain applications enforce transaction rules at the smart contract layer. We empower teams to create modular, programmable policies—such as AML/CFT checks or offchain collateral requirements—that are verified before a transaction executes onchain. Our system enforces these policies with cryptographic guarantees, providing robust, scalable risk management tailored to real-world use cases.The roleAs Protocol Lead, you’ll own the design, development, and maintenance of our smart contract suite. You’ll build tooling to support integrations, contribute to core infrastructure, and research emerging technologies to keep us at the forefront of the industry. You’ll also serve as the team’s blockchain subject matter expert, supporting teammates across the stack on all things related to smart contract interactions.ResponsibilitiesOwn the architecture, development, and maintenance of core smart contractsEstablish and uphold best practices for contract security, upgradability, testing, and CI/CDManage and coordinate audits, bug bounties, and protocol versioningContribute to SDKs and developer tooling for seamless integration with our contractsCollaborate with backend teams in Go and TypeScript on smart contract-related integrationsDevelop knowledge across blockchain ecosystems, including EVM and non-EVM environments (e.g., Solana/SVM)What we look for4+ years experience in smart contract development and protocol designDeep familiarity with the public blockchains, Solidity, Rust, and relevant emerging toolsStrong scripting language proficiency (e.g., TypeScript)Prior experience leading smart contract audits and designing onchain protocolsStrong communication skills and comfort working with external partners/customersCuriosity, initiative, and a drive to ship high-quality systemsPerksUnlimited PTO with a high level of autonomy for your workBest-in-class health, dental and vision insuranceQuarterly world-wide team offsitesCompensationWe are committed to hiring the best talent, and that is reflected in our salary, equity compensation, and culture.
