I’ve been a TikTok and Instagram user now for about 2 years. When I first started, I felt like I lived under a rock because I felt like one of the last people to create an account. Both everyday people and celebrities use these social media sites and I know they have been around for a good number of years. I come from the time of Myspace and I used to be a more active blogger there. Then, I discovered the wonderful world of Twitter. I had a Facebook account which I didn’t use as often. I started using it more when I started using TikTok and Instagram.
Anyway, my very first accounts on Instagram and TikTok were both business accounts. Monetization through affiliate marketing was the main reason that I had created the accounts. Later, I realize that creators can monetize in several ways. I procrastinated for sometime and finally made a creator account for each platform. I’m still working on my following and it’s something people never quit doing. If you’re already a TikTok guru, I’m sure you probably know many more tricks of the trade than I do with monetization. But, each time I discover something else, I get a little more excited. It definitely gives me something to write about.
