With the future of TikTok hanging in the balance, many are wondering what they’ll do if a suitable buyer isn’t found, and the app is banned in our country. Well for those people, I have a solution: a hot, hip new social media platform that looks and operates much like TikTok, but with a slight twist: all of the content is focused on a 43-year old guy from Ohio named Rick. Meet your newest social media obsession: RickTok.
So what is RickTok?
It’s basically TikTok, but with videos of a guy named Rick (me).
What kind of content will be on RickTok?
All the stuff you know and love on TikTok will also be on RickTok, with content categories like:
BookTok: I try to remember books that I was forced to read in high school as that was the last time I consistently read. You’ll love me stumbling my way through “A Separate Piece.” Ahh, pretty sure there was something to do with a tree? After I run out of books, which won’t take long, I’ll just start reading aloud from the instruction manuals laying around my house.
MomTok: Now, I don’t have kids, and I’m not mom, but that won’t stop me from doling out advice — and probably some misinformation — on sleep windows, when to begin solids, and my favorite kind of bassinets. Spoiler: I pretty much like all of the bassinets!
