With TikTok facing bans and Substack launching vertical video, are we witnessing the biggest shift in digital content creation?
On March 31, 2025, Substack rolled out a new feature that caught the world’s eye.
A new scrollable video feed similar to TikTok’s format.
Creators can now upload short-form videos up to 10 minutes long, including video notes and clips from longer posts.
However, this won’t be the first time Substack has plunged into the multimedia realm.
In 2022, it introduced its first native video capability, later adding a dedicated Media tab in 2024.
2025 is the year for a refresh and redesign of the Media feed.
