Chinese TikToker releases AI mocking Trump tariffs, The Meme War With China Has Begun
Trump wanted to bring back factory jobs.
He wanted the clang of machines, the rhythm of assembly lines, the smell of metal and sweat — the good old days when “Made in America” meant something.
But instead, he got a TikTok video.
Created by a user with a name that sounds like a pseudonym (because, well, of course it does), this AI-generated clip mocked the whole idea. Not with arguments. Not with policy critiques.
With a video.
A viral one.
It showed overweight Americans in sad gray uniforms, stuck in sweatshop-like conditions, assembling iPhones to traditional Chinese music. It felt more like a dystopian Black Mirror episode than political satire. And it ended with the caption: “Make America Great Again.”
