How one careless click wiped out months of conversations
Today, I tried ChatGPT’s new product, ChatGPT ATLAS, an AI browser that lets you query any webpage directly within it. It felt exciting.
But soon, I noticed it created a new chat every time I asked something on a site.
My sidebar filled up fast, and as someone who hates clutter, I went looking for a way to clean things up.
Then I saw it: Delete Chats. Thinking it would only remove those temporary threads, I clicked it without hesitation.
That single click erased everything, including all my project discussions, notes, and creative drafts from the past year.
Gone in an instant. Irreversible.
So yes, I quite literally flushed my entire ChatGPT history.
Now my workspace is empty again, a cleaned slate. A new beginning awaits me tomorrow.
