Nurses, it’s time.
As a member of the White Cap Mafia — we can never leave nursing because we know too much. It’s time for us to remember our oath.
With loyalty, will I aid the physician in his work, and as a missioner of health, I will dedicate myself to devoted service for human welfare.
While this Bill was written to “root out waste, fraud, and abuse,” it guts the Medicaid system, which will ultimately close rural hospitals and clinics, long-term care centers, take care away from our Vets who use Tri-Care and Medicaid to get their needs met, cap care based on institutionalization pay rate averages which impacts children on hospice getting both curative and palliative care, promotes the institutionalization of people with I/DD, and so much more.

It’s staggering. Heartbreaking. The method is passive-aggressive via paperwork churn. Imagine having to prove that you’re still disabled every six months. Yes, there are exempt categories, but who decides who is sick enough to be exempt from a work requirement? Disabled enough?
