Inkwo review – Carlos Albuquerque – Medium

This short focuses on monsters that were formerly human and were locked in the ice by Native Americans, only to be dug up by colonizers. I think its an ingenious blend of indigenous monster stories (like wendigos) with modern fears of what climate change may release in the permafrost. Like good horror, it takes modern anxieties and makes art out of them.

A strong recommendation.
