The trailer begins. It is nighttime: Red lightning and thunder strike behind an old castle. You hear the deep, gravely voice of Vecna, “At long last. We can begin.”
You see Vecna’s head. It looks like a white rotting corpse. You then see its claws, black and burned.
It cuts to late afternoon as a group of kids biked towards the school. In the school, you see Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) walking like a badass.
It cuts to Mike and Max (Finn Wolfhard and Sadie Sink) hanging out at the top of a radio station. “We’re really starting to loose it,” Mike said, “being stuck in here. No end in sight.”
It cuts to a large wall. There is a military and a watch tower. I think they quarantined the entire town of Hawkins in a military base. It sorta reminds me of the NBA Bubble during the pandemic. This is also very relatable to many people. We have all experienced pandemic lockdowns.
It cuts to inside the military base. Mike, Will (Noah Schnapp), and Nancy (Natalia Dyer) snooped around in a storage area. I think they found an alternate exit, or a portal to another dimension.
It cuts to outdoors on a snowy evening. Jim (David Harbour) pointed a rifle while Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) held a flashlight.
“Maybe tonight is our break,” Mike said, telling everyone at a long table. He is leading the team. “We find Vecna, and we end this once and for all, TOGETHER.”
On the long table, you see Steve (Joe Keery), Nancy, Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Dustin, Will, and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin).
Red lightning strikes from the sky to the ground. Eleven starts running. She then jumped/flew up, jumping over the military barricades.
You see Joyce (Winona Ryder) with her eyes closed and hands clasped in prayer as Mike stands behind her.
It cuts to Will and Eleven in a bedroom. “This isn’t like one of your campaigns,” Eleven told Will. “You don’t get to write the ending, not this time.” Eleven then held and caressed Will’s left cheek.
It cuts to Nancy and Jonathan looking up at the night sky as white and red lightning explodes. A large red portal seems to open up.
“He’s planning to end our world,” Nancy said. “And he’s not gonna stop, until we’re drained of every last drop of suffering.”
Multiple red portals also seemed to open in the ground.
You see Nancy crying as she washes off the blood from her hands. What happened?
You see Dusting crying, I think Steve hugged him to comfort him.
It cuts to a Demogorgon jumping through rooftops.
It cuts to inside a lab. Jim pointed a rifle. Eleven had a determined look on her face. She took a deep inhale. When she exhaled, she pushed her arms and palms out. A RED SHOCKWAVE exploded from the lab and out onto the town. People saw it. Gradually, the RED SHOCKWAVE became WHITE and spread through the town. I always believed that Eleven and Vecna are the yin and yang of the story. RED is the color of Vecna and The Upside Down. White is the color of Eleven.
It cuts to Nancy and Jonathan. They stuck their foreheads together and closed their eyes in both HOPE and DESPERATION. I’m afraid that one or two of our main characters might die in this finale.
It cuts to a cave or an underground tunnel. A Demogorgon drops down. You then see a scared Lucas crawling backward.
It cuts to Nancy pointing a rifle. And then….
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Nancy began shooting.
“We stay true to ourselves,” Mike said.
You see Nancy and Dustin scared as they looked up to the sky. You then see red lightning slicing through the night sky. Rocks are floating upwards. I think Vecna and The Upside Down are tryig to swallow our world.
“We stay true to our friends.”
You see everyone hugging with tears in their eyes.
“No matter the cost.”
A large explosion knocks down a group of military in a room.
It cuts to Caleb carrying Max in an elevator. And then a small Demogorgon tried to attack them like a Velociraptor.
It cuts to out in the street. It’s TOTAL CHAOS. Will tried to guide a group of kids. Nancy is trying to help an injured person. A Demogorgon jumped up and attacked US, the POV camera.
It cuts to a large flaming explosion. At least two people got burned in the explosion.
Back in the military base, it’s a total shoot ’em up. A Demogorgon army ravaged the military.
It cuts to the veiny claws of Vecna, “William, you are going to help me…”
Will’s body, lying on the ground, suddenly levitated. Vecna opened his palm up. Will’s body floated straight in front of Vecna. The screen turned black, and you heard Vecna’s voice, “One. Last. Time.”
Vecna caressed Will’s cheek. It seems to be the mirror image of earlier, when Eleven caressed Mike’s face.
