When I saw the announcement, I immediately bought it to save you from wasting time and money.
Here’s my critical review of this Go Plan — what it can do and where it falls painfully short.
ChatGPT seems to be casting a wide net with the new Go Plan at $5/ 5/month.
Initially, I was excited.
I thought this would truly democratize access to AI. But it turned out to be more of a “poor man’s plan” with limited access to what most people need.
First thing I wanted to check:
Does this plan give users access to Codex?
That’s what sits behind the paywall for free users, and for my readers here, that’s what matters most.
I scoured through the documents, but found nothing.
There is no mention of Codex access for Go Plan subscribers.
Running late and getting impatient, I jumped in and bought the plan anyway. Sometimes you need to taste the pudding yourself.
