A series made by Angel Studios, at first I was hesitant to watch this series. Once I did, however, I found a show that’s not overtly religious — the closest thing is an emphasis on family, and since it’s an adopted family at least they’re practicing what they preach if they are pro-lifers -, adding to the list of shows by this studio that put entertainment and education over religion.

The show is about Quokka who is…A QUOKKA! She and her adopted family travel the world to make documentaries on animals. One of the best things about this series is that they’re not portraying invertebrates or reptiles negatively (bold for a christian work), with a tuatara even being part of the central cast.

The animal is alright. I do have issues with some character designs, like Quokka’s buckteeth, that make her look more like a rodent than a diprotodontian, but oh well.

Strong recommendation
