Book Review: A Balance of Forces Approach to Understanding Physical Reality by Thomas White

It’s my first time reading a book that talks about astronomy — about how the Earth works, about light, stars, and the universe. It helped me finally understand things I’d only ever wondered about.

I’d like to say thanks to Thomas White and Robert Mackay who create this book and hare to us for understanding the knowledge.

Actually this book started how Thomas accidentally met the Monks on 1974 in Tibet which they shared this knowledge because they were concerned about survival in cultural revolution.For more than fifty years — especially during the COVID-19 pandemic — Thomas tried to share this knowledge with everyone, but no one took it seriously. Until he met Robert who as his partner to write this book and shared to everyone.

Reading this part moved me deeply. I could imagine his quiet persistence — writing, diagramming, reaching out, hoping someone would understand. And yet, somehow, it feels right that this book emerged when humanity needed it most: in a time when we are all searching for balance.
