Complete guide to activate the ChatGPT Go Free Plan for 12 months in India for existing FREE users.
Step 1: Open ChatGPT on the web. The 12-month free upgrade popup will appear automatically, or you can click “Upgrade for FREE” at the top of the website. (Currently, the offer isn’t available in the mobile app.)
Step 2: On the next page, you’ll see ₹399 crossed out and ₹0 listed for the 12-month free ChatGPT Go plan. Click “Upgrade to Go.”
Step 3: OpenAI will send an OTP to your registered mobile number — enter it to verify.
Step 4: The payment page will open. Enter your card details or UPI ID (by clicking “Pay without link” at the bottom of the page). ₹0 will be charged, and your ChatGPT Go plan will be activated free for 12 months.
