How we interact with large language models today mostly revolves around linear chats: ask a question, get an answer, scroll up/down, repeat. This is simple and intuitive, but it comes with limits—especially when dealing with complex topics or layered research.

Advantages of Node-Based LLMs:

Organize ideas visually in nodes rather than a scrolling list.

Hold distinct contexts for each branch, reducing confusion.

Explore multiple lines of thought simultaneously.

Mimic natural human reasoning and brainstorming patterns.

Improve clarity and creativity through spatial visualization.

Disadvantages:

Slight learning curve compared to traditional chat.

More interface elements to manage on the canvas.

Early tools may lack some smoothness found in mature linear chat apps.
