Mac: back to Welsh (!) and voice mode is thrown off… by itself

So first off, on the Mac version (1.2025.294) a bug has been introduced where in voice mode, ChatGPT will confuse the sound of its own voice from speakers as an interruption. This is maddening! Short of using headphones, is there a fix buried in settings?

Then I went and looked at the text, and I see the bug where my prompts are first transcribed to Welsh, and then answered in Welsh, is back. Or rather, it was never fixed but the workaround was to change the language from "Auto-Detect" to "English." This is weird on so many levels, not the least of which being Welsh isn't even a supported language.

But it's back. (I have a British accent which seems to be the trigger though despite being widely reported, no one knows and OpenAI is not interested in fixing it. I tried every avenue I could think of to raise this but all roads lead back in an inversion loop to the model itself. Given the Welsh theme, is there some kind of Druidic incantation that can summon an actual human…?
