Shift/schedule: Full Time (Salaried)GENERAL SUMMARYThe Manager of Recruitment reports to the Operations Manager of Talent Management/HR Business Partners. The Manager of Recruitment’s primary job function is to provide the leadership and management skills necessary to oversee the daily administration of SOMC’s internal and external hiring process, develop, coordinate, and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies for both medical and regular staff.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
- High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
- Bachelor’s Degree required (with courses in Human Resources Administration preferred)
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Master’s Degree preferred
Licensure:
- None
Experience:
- Two years recruitment experience required
- Medical staff recruitment experience preferred
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSThe following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. * Serves as a resource to leaders on equal employment opportunity, interview training, and reorganization/realignments in department and with work related issues.
- Oversees the recruiting, interviewing and selection of internal and external applicants to hire a quality workforce.
- Coordinates the leadership interview process.
- Administrator for the application tracking system and onboarding system.
- Coordinates long-term and short-term recruitment, retention, and forecasting strategies as decided by the Human Resources Department and through partnership with the Department Directors & Manager.
- Conducts Leader interview training and staff peer interview training. Acts as a resource to Directors & Managers with retention issues.
- Performs reference checks, verifies credentials, makes offer of employment, and coordinates physical examinations, criminal backgrounds, pay quotes, and schedules orientation of selected candidates.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of hiring activities that support justification of selection and non-selection, transfer notices, status change, rejection notices, pay calculation, and date offered..
- Manages compliance with License, Registration, Certification and Education requirements, along with submitting and approving timely electronic status changes.
- Responsible for any and all functions as assigned related to Employment or management of the HR function.
- Develops strategic long-range Medical Staff Recruitment and Retention plans
- Negotiates contracts with vendors such as search firms, relocation companies, and locum tenens services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
