The Story

Siva Kesavulu’s Idli Kottu (Idli shop) is famous in his village for its soft and tasty idli’s. The love and care he and his wife put into making idli’s make their small shop special. Murali, played by Dhanush, is Siva Kesavulu’s son. Being educated and from a newer generation, Murali dreams of expanding the family business into a franchise across different places.

But his father strongly disagrees. He believes that idli’s made without love and presence lose their real taste. Hurt and disappointed, Murali leaves home and moves to different places and finally settles in Bangkok to start a new life. Everything seems to go well, he has a good job, and he’s about to marry his boss’s daughter (played by Shalini Pandey). But then something pulls…
