We've all seen that awful AI generated shooter demo from a few weeks ago, but I was wondering what the true potential of AI games are.
Could it be AI generated dialogue, where you can talk to any NPC without limits (like in Whispers from the Star or Facade)? Or adaptive NPCs that learn your movesets and evolve over time, turning a Soulslike into something completely unpredictable?
Maybe it's an unlimited branching story game, where you can unlock new stories and quests adaptively based on AI generation. Or is AI just a gimmick, and we don't need it anywhere near our games?
What do you think is the final form of AI in gaming, when it fully unlocks its potential?
