However, you can re-review a family member and see them in a different light because you’ve changed, you are less rigid than you were in 1996 when you thought the only real way of living was with a job in Comms at the New England Aquarium and roommates in Davis Square Somerville, MA.
I’ve realized (now that my parents are in their own infirm old age and I feel that same sense of duty as Pat) that she was the hero of this story and not the weirdo. It’s a important lesson worth 💖💖💖💖💖.

I love being enthusiastic about fiction. I so rarely read it. So, when I was ten pages in to Shuggie Bain, I told everyone I know about how muscular and vital Shuggie Bain is. I used the words “muscular and vital.” I cringe at the memory. But it’s fun to get into things! Also fun is — 200 pages in to things — getting out of things!
