Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi: Force War Comic Review

Summary

About a year ago, the dark warrior Xesh crashed on the planet of Tython. The Je’daii (precursors to the Jedi) were able to help him overcome his darkness and find balance in the Force, but his former masters aren’t done with him yet.

The Rakata are a race of bloodthirsty cannibals who rule the galaxy through their command of the Dark Side of the Force. They invade Tython to plunder the Force-rich world, enslave the Je’daii, and locate an Infinity Gate, an ancient relic that will allow them to instantaneously travel anywhere in the galaxy.

It’s an all-out war, with the Je’daii fighting to save not just their order, but the entire galaxy as well.

My Thoughts

Force War is a fine conclusion to the Dawn of the Jedi comics. Xesh has undergone tremendous character growth since we first met him, and he has a major role to play in the war. He must decide his own fate, and the fate of everyone else hinges on his choice. I also loved the Rakata, who were great antagonists throughout the series.

Dawn of the Jedi was a wonderful addition to the Star Wars universe, and Force War sends it off right. It even leaves us with hints of the coming split in the Je’daii order, which will eventually lead to the Dark Jedi, and then the Sith.

My Rating: 4/5
