By skyforbes Hello! I’m currently applying for Medicaid in Michigan. I’m a grad student living on my own working part time $12 an hour and in school full time. I’ve been on Medicaid my whole life but just moved out with my bf so I have to apply on my own. They’re asking me for my assets and i technically have a decent chunk in my savings (around 6k it took over a year to save up doing extra work) but it’s to pay for my two summer classes at college this up coming year since FAFSA doesn’t give me enough to cover summer classes. I assume they don’t care what it’s for so should I just pull it out of my savings and give it to a family member to hold on to? Or will they see I pulled it and not care anyways I also do own a car but don’t owe any money on it and it’s 16 years old I bought it outright like 6 years ago off Facebook lol 😭 I have an autoimmune disease and asthma and get chronic ovarian cysts so I really need the insurance I won’t be able to afford anything else so I’m trying to make my odds or getting approved high!
