Customers started using AIGC tools to generate fake product photos for refunds

During this year’s double 11 shopping festival in China, there were quite a few cases of people using generative AI tools to doctor their return photos, turning perfectly fine products into defective ones. Like fresh fruit edited to look moldy, or socks magically photoshopped into weird discolored ones. Jokingly, some even forgot to remove the “AI generated” watermark… which is kind of hilarious if it weren’t causing real losses for sellers.

With more attention on this issue now (and some regulations starting to catch up), a number of merchants started to try tools like AI detectors and verify whether customer return photos have been tampered with. Tools like Zhuque can help spot those small AI artifacts before anyone get tricked. Just share it here in case anyone needed.
