i’m self employment
on the interview, the lady ask how often did i get pay, i accidentally said “every month”, but i got pay every 2 week by my salon. ( i don’t speak English so well that’s why i messed up). Then she said i should report my 3 months of self employment and i did. I did submit 2 Pay Check every month from the salon, so 6 paycheks total for 3 month. So i think even i said ”every month”, i still submit 2 paycheck / months. Do you think am I still in trouble because i accidentally say every month on the interview? later I called and some body on the phone said that might be ok because with self employment I have to submit my income month by month so it doesn’t make any difference. Even he said that, i’m still worry i did something wrong. please let me know if i should call again.
second, when i report my income, i do not know if i should submit my Gross income for self employment or i should give my adjusted income instead. my income is about $40000 (gross) and $25000 ( net) for household of 2 (me 30F and my child) . do you think i’m still eligible?
plus how can i provide my income for 2025 if i have not file tax return for this year yet? the income they using in the system right now is the income last year (which really low since i dont work much). i tried to report new income but she said with self employment I could not submit my paycheck, only tax return.
