I don’t really understand the hype with 5.1 for creative writing

5.1 don’t get me wrong, is definitely the emotional upgrade people missed compared to 5. For emotional support and conversation, I can see the satisfaction, it’s basically is just 4o. but I keep hearing how much better 4o and 5.1 are at creative writing. I had stopped using 4o because I got the same words, tropes, phrases, sentence structure, and metaphors that don’t make sense. Even though I revise and rewrite most of the draft it gives me, it gets very old, infuriating and unbearable to read. “The ___ hung between them” “smile that didn’t reach his eyes” “hit like ice water/physical blow” “quiet/silent verb/adjective”“Not this, just that” “adjective and adjective” “too this, too that” “Florence lights/neon/hum” and don’t get me started with the “wire” metaphors. I don’t know why 4o and 5.1 love that one so much.

I’ve had a much better experience with 4.1 and 4.5 for writing. Yes, it may use a couple of those tropes, just like all models do, but it was a lot more tolerable to read and far less common. With 5.1 and 4o, its vocabulary is so underdeveloped, even if I told it to broaden it. It uses those same phrases/words over and over again. Especially the “adjective and adjective” and “too this too that” all the time, multiple times a paragraph.

The only thing I can think of that’s “better” in 4o and 5.1 is that it has a more human undertone when reading it unlike 4.1, 4.5, 5. Soo I’m curious why some people think it’s better. If you think so, let me know why. I’m curious about your perspective or experience.
