Manus 1.5 Review: Is It Worth Using Over Gemini?

Manus 1.5 just dropped — and everyone’s calling it a “game changer.”

But after testing it side by side with Google Gemini, I’ve got to be honest… it’s not even close.

What’s New in Manus 1.5

Here’s the big headline:
Manus 1.5 is 4× faster than the last version.

Tasks that used to take 15 minutes now take 3–4 minutes — at least, that’s what their chart says.

But when I tested it in real time, Manus 1.5 still ran painfully slow compared to Gemini 2.5 Pro.

That said, Manus 1.5 now helps you build full-stack apps, not just text projects. It can:

  • Create cinematic AI films
  • Generate landing pages
  • Build vlogs and storyboards
  • Even make floor plans and presentations

Pretty cool — if it worked fast enough to matter.

Testing Manus 1.5 vs Gemini

So I gave both tools the same challenge:
find SEO agency leads and build a landing page for my SEO Elite Circle.

Gemini finished both tasks in under 2 minutes.
Manus 1.5? Still “processing” after 10 +.

Here’s the problem:
Manus uses a web-browsing agent that literally clicks through sites like a human.
It’s fascinating … but slow.

Gemini uses deep-research APIs — instant, accurate, no browser lag.

For me, if speed is the goal, Manus 1.5 fails that test.

Where Manus 1.5 Still Shines

To be fair, Manus isn’t totally useless.
The market analysis reports are solid.

I ran a test to analyze AI communities on Skool, and it gave a full SWOT breakdown — including community sizes, niches and pricing.

It even spotted unique ideas like “AI for legal professionals” and “ethical AI for productivity.”
That’s a good insight most tools miss.

So yes — it’s smart. But slow smart.

Where Gemini Still Wins

Gemini beats Manus 1.5 on almost everything:

Speed: Instant results
Ease of use: No credits, no limits
Integration: Google Sheets + Docs ready
Cost: 100 percent free

You can build landing pages, find leads, create presentations and run automations — without waiting or paying.

If you’re running an agency or business, Gemini saves you hours.

Where Genspark Fits In

If you love building visual assets like slides, reports, or client decks —
Genspark still gives you better presentation designs than Manus 1.5.

Manus’s design output looks dated and clunky.
Genspark looks polished out of the box.

For video generation, Manus does okay — but again, it’s slow and basic.
If I were you, I’d just stitch AI clips together manually and skip the wait.

My Final Verdict on Manus 1.5

Manus 1.5 feels like the jack of all trades, master of none.

It can do everything … just slower than you’d ever want.

Gemini, on the other hand, crushes it in lead generation, landing pages, automation and research — and it’s free.

Unless Manus dramatically improves performance, I’d use Gemini for 90 percent of tasks and Genspark for visuals.
