đ LONELYMAN â The Guardian of Solitude
Real Name: Elias Orin
Alignment: Hero (Self-Sacrificing)
Core Theme: âNo one deserves to feel the way I did.â
ORIGIN STORY
Elias Orin was born with an unusual sensitivity â he could feel the loneliness of others as if it were his own. At first he thought it was empathy. Over time, he learned it was something far more cosmic.
When a catastrophic event tore open a rift in reality, Elias was infused with the residual energy of an ancient celestial entity known as The Voidheart â a being formed from the collective isolation felt across galaxies. Rather than being consumed by the Voidheart, Elias absorbed it, becoming its vessel.
From that moment on, Elias vowed one thing:
âIf I take all the loneliness into myself, then nobody else has to feel alone.â
His heroic identity became Lonelyman.
POWERS
đ 1. Absorption of Loneliness
He can sense, draw in, and store emotional isolation from any living being. This is his central power â and his greatest burden.
He can instantly relieve someone of loneliness, depression-like emptiness, or cosmic despair.
The absorbed loneliness strengthens him but also weighs on him emotionally.
đ€ 2. Voidheart Manifestation
The accumulated solitude inside him becomes a source of power:
Constructs made of dark, shimmering Void-energy (shields, wings, weapons)
Teleportation through âsilent spacesâ
Phasing through matter
Amplification of strength and endurance based on the scale of isolation he carries
đ«ïž 3. Quietfield
A protective field that calms minds, soothes fear, and brings peace to others â even in chaotic battlefields.
đĄ 4. Empathic Perception
He can detect pockets of loneliness anywhere on a planetary scale.
WEAKNESSES
- Emotional Overload
The more loneliness he absorbs, the more he risks losing his own identity in the overwhelming sorrow.
- Isolation Dependency
A paradox:
He removes loneliness from others, but doing so makes himself profoundly alone.
He hides this behind a gentle, comforting demeanor.
- The Voidheartâs Whisper
Sometimes the ancient entity inside him tries to manipulate his emotions, urging him toward total universal solitude â a path he refuses.
COSTUME & DESIGN
Long dark coat or cloak that constantly ripples like smoke
Eyes glow faint silver when absorbing emotions
Emblem: a cracked circle â representing loneliness contained, not escaped
Colors: grayscale with faint purples or blues to symbolize melancholy energy
A slight aura of quietness surrounds him, muffling sound near him
ARCHENEMY: The Evercrowd
A hive-mind villain representing forced connection â a collective consciousness that assimilates minds so no one can be âaloneâ again.
The Evercrowd argues that freedom causes loneliness; Lonelyman argues that choice matters.
This sets up a philosophical conflict.

-
Or find a cosmic way to erase loneliness itself, rewriting the fundamental nature of sentient beings.
