By skyforbes I've been using the Gemini AI as my Google assistant on my phone. My biggest frustration is despite repeatedly telling Gemini not to read responses out loud…. Every time I ask a question on the microphone it proceeds to read a long convoluted explanation out loud that I do not need read out loud.
I've tried everything trying to figure out a way to turn off this setting but I can't figure it out and it's literally a killer. I'll go back to using the old Google Assistant.
I want my assistant to give me text output, and I will never be having a conversation with it verbally. It just isn't efficient.
If anybody knows of a way we can do this, I would appreciate it.
I've already submitted feedback to Google multiple times over the last 6 months and it hasn't changed.
