FROM DAN: after a stand-up show, a woman approached me and said, “you must get this all the time – you look exactly like Michael Bublé.” (i do not.) she wanted to hire me as a Michael Buble impersonator for a real sum of money for a real fancy event. i had to sing "Feelin' Good" and hang out for 30 mins "in-character" as Bublé. it seemed insane—so i accepted. i filmed the whole journey for a doc short, Being Bublé, a true story that makes no sense… i researched Bublé, rented out a conference room to practice acting as him, hunted for the best suit, shot a Rocky training sequence, even met with a vocal coach who warned me NOT to sing. but i kept practicing that song. captured the whole lead-up, the gig, and the insane aftermath. you can see it here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyXoJhBtntQ
Being Buble is my favorite thing i've done. we made something that i hope is funny, strange, and ultimately heartfelt — since that's how i found the whole process. the experience was pure joy. really proud of it.
