By skyforbes Hey! I am a canvas lead for Zohran for NYC campaign, and have been for quite some time. The election is just DAYS AWAY and early voting ls already open. I figured I would take this time to convince a few folks who might be still on the fence, and also just to answer anyone's questions as the votes roll in.
I have been a canvasser for Zohran Mamdani since March of 2025, when I first started out collecting signatures for him to get on the ballot. After that, I moved to door knocking and phonebanking, as well as a little bit of textbanking and postering work. I was made a canvas lead shortly before the primary ended.
I did a few of these in the respective Borough subreddits a while back if anyone is in those. I took em down after the primary, but that was me if you remember and are active on those.
A few ground rules:
- If the question is rooted in bigotry about Zohran Mamdani's race, ethnicity, or religion, I am ignoring it.
- I am not a paid worker. I am doing this for free. I signed nothing. I don't know anything super secretive.
- Please leave space for people who are legitimately undecided. If you're just gonna say "Zohran sucks, Cuomo #1" you aren't helping anyone.
- For legal reasons, all opinions are my own and I do not represent the campaign in any official capacity. This is my AMA, not the campaigns, and Im going to be talking about my understanding and experiences.
