When voting, (Early voting has started, go do it) on the back of your ballot, there's 6 proposals. Proposition 6 is to move city elections into even years to align with federal elections. The stated reason is to let city elections benefit from increased voter turnout. However…

  1. If city elections are happening at the same time as federal, they are sharing the same finite pool of donors/volunteers/campaign workers, and this will make things much more of a pain to run.

  2. City issues will be overlooked in our finite attention economy over the national races.

  3. I like having something to vote on in odd years.

That is why I am asking you to please, vote "No" on prop 6.
