The Pending EBT Crisis

Is anyone else terrified about what will happen to ALL OF US if the feds and NY State don’t distribute EBT in November??? BC it absolutely WILL affect ALL of US (whether you receive EBT directly or not).

So, I’m wondering if it would help the cause if everyone living, working, and paying taxes in NY State changed our federal and tax withholdings TOMORROW????

Let’s say we contacted our HR department or went into our payroll system online and increased the number of exemptions we claim on our Federal Tax withholdings to the maximum # allowed….and then maybe we decrease the number of our NY State withholdings to 1 or 0.

Essentially this would be like taking money away from the federal govt and loaning it to NY State, right? I wonder if Hochul could then release November EBT for NYers?

And then, come tax time, if necessary, we could use money we get back from our NYS taxes to pay any owed to the Feds (if needed)?

Or is this a really bad idea that might start a Revolution??? I can’t tell. I’m just really scared. Like, REALLY scared!!!
